The brightest star in the night sky has a twin. Sirius A and Sirius B (aka The Pup) are a binary star system located within Canis Major. They orbit around each other at 20 times more distance than the earth from the sun. Every 50 years, Sirius A and Sirius B approach each other. They conjure huge magnetic storms between them, causing tidal forces so powerful that the siblings spin together at great speed before parting again. And like their brother and sister humans, the dance repeats without end.
